A young boy escapes from the bus on his way home from a field trip to an orphanage, and is picked up by a clown in the park. His goal is to find his mother. The clown's uncle, who used to be a yakuza, tells the boy that his wife, who gave him a lot of trouble, died after their divorce, and that his only daughter has been taken in by an acquaintance and is living in Tokyo.
