Around a city square, twelve minutes of real time between 08:48 and 09:00h change the lives of six people, forever. Gunmen JOSH and BART prepare, in their Smart car, to carry out a jewellery heist. To celebrate her 65th birthday, FELICE visits master jeweller WILLIAM to pick up a brooch she has commissioned. Meanwhile, Felice's neighbour JANET furiously cleans her apartment of a failed celebration dinner's remains. But when Janet walks out into the square and runs straight into her lover Marlene, she inadvertently sets off a chain of events.
