Having nothing to lose, Agathonas, a clumsy countryman with a heart of gold, decides to leave his small village and try his luck at making a name for himself in faceless Athens. However, it's a jungle out there. As one thing leads to another, Agathonas eventually manages to land a job as an errand boy in Christoforos' well-equipped grocery shop, unbeknownst to him that earning a living is easier said than done.
