After the death of his closeted Jewish-Orthodox boyfriend Eli, 20-year-old Alexander attends the shiva to pay his respects. An introduction to Eli's mother, Chana, leaves things more unclear, and Alexander finds himself lost within his grief. In a twist of fate, Chana unexpectedly shows up at his door, both of them yearning to learn more about their shared beloved.
